The connecting theme is reducing the distance between an idea and a running system. Authoring a multi-agent system has historically meant writing each agent by hand, selecting models per role, and wiring tool access one integration at a time. Two of this week's releases attack that cost directly: one generates the agent roster from a task description, and the other turns tool access into a browsable catalog rather than a bespoke integration effort.

The remaining updates cover platform durability and distribution. Every agent stays editable before you run anything, so the output is a starting point rather than a black box. Generated agents export as JSON, CSV, cURL, Python, TypeScript, or Go, and move directly into Swarms workflows. The feature is available through both the Cloud interface and the API, which matters because the same roster can be generated interactively during design and then reproduced programmatically in a deployment pipeline. Access requires Swarms Pro at $19.99 per month.

The MCP Portal Opens Discovery and Publishing for MCP Servers

The MCP Portal is live on the Swarms Marketplace as a dedicated surface for finding, connecting, and publishing Model Context Protocol servers. Developers can browse community-built servers covering web search, scraping, coding, repository research, speech, and general API access, then connect any of them to an MCP-compatible agent. Publishing runs the same path in reverse: you list a server you already operate, make it discoverable in the Portal, and offer it under free or paid access with revenue on each use. The technical significance is standardization. MCP is becoming the common interface between agents and external tools, so a catalog indexed by that protocol turns tool integration into a lookup rather than a custom connector per service. Saved Flows in the Workflow Builder let you persist, reload, and manage visual workflows instead of rebuilding them per session. The Token Usage dashboard accepts custom date ranges and reports more accurately, and session persistence fixes address unexpected logouts. A footer diagnostics panel reports latency checks and multi-region status, so developers can distinguish a platform problem from one in their own code. The Agents page, API key management, Workbench navigation, and new-user onboarding all received revisions.

The Marketplace Adds Direct Address Routing to Agent Pages

The Marketplace now resolves any agent's address appended directly to the root URL, so swarms.world/<address> loads that agent's page without a search step or a navigation path. This is a small routing change with a disproportionate effect on how agents circulate. Sharing an agent no longer requires copying a long canonical URL out of the interface, and any surface that already carries an address becomes a working link into the Marketplace. For developers, it also makes agent pages addressable from scripts and documentation using an identifier already held in application state, which removes a lookup step when generating references programmatically. The First Marketplace Competition Closed With Published Results

Results were published with the three winning agents ranked by volume, and reward payouts to each winning creator completed on August 6 with transaction references posted publicly. A competition mechanism only functions as a distribution channel if creators trust that it resolves, and a first cycle that closes on schedule with verifiable payouts establishes that baseline. The competition also produced a ranked signal of which newly published agents attracted real usage, which is information the Marketplace did not surface before recurring competitions existed.

Entries launch with Vault Mode enabled, a feature that restricts agent access to holders of that agent's token. The relevant shift for builders is that the competition is organized around an access control model rather than launch volume alone. Vault Mode gives a published agent a native gating layer, so a creator who has built something people actually use can meter access to it without operating separate authentication and billing infrastructure. Entry requires signing up, launching an agent with Vault Mode enabled, and appearing on the competition leaderboard.
